Is this correct?
editThis article implies that production ecology theory does not address soil or edaphic conditions. I am not in a position to know if this is correct, but would be surprised if this is still the case. -- Paleorthid 00:54, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
No, it's not. Modern simulation system allow simulation of soil water and nutrients, and of pests and diseases, via dedicated software frameworks (APSIM, OMS3, BioMA) Marcello donatelli (talk) 20:14, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
Scope?
editThis article seems to focus solely on crop production, but my understanding of production ecology was that it could apply to virtually any ecosystem type (ex: natural tree stands, experimental forests, rangeland, etc).
