X Factor auditions were held in Thorpe Park on Sun 9 and Mon 10, not in Birmingham. 82.46.119.89 (talk) 16:47, 10 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

28-day ratings

edit

It isn't fair at all to have 28 day ratings here and 7 day ratings on all other pages for all the other series. One of the primary purposes of this data is for comparison. You can't compare the average rating of one series to another if the data doesn't display the same thing. For television shows which existed before the introduction of 28-day figures, I feel all succeeding series should stick to one or the other. TheMysteriousEditor (talk) 15:02, 9 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia guidelines state that the "final rating" should be used, which is the 28 day rating where it is available. However, on the subject of ratings, the weekly ranks need to be fixed because it is for all channels, not just ITV. And even if it was just ITV, the episode on 15 October came 16th, not 17th, because a lower-rated programme after 7 days was higher rated after 28. It should actually be placed 22nd, when compared to BBC One and Channel 4 as well as ITV. I'll fix it myself at some point if nobody else does. — anemoneprojectors 22:55, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

In the grid Kevin Dacey White should be Kevin Davy White There should be four more columns in the live show grid for the four wildcards 82.15.37.169 (talk) 14:18, 23 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Partly done: I did the first part of your request. I'll leave the second part open for someone more familiar with the show and table syntax to address. —KuyaBriBriTalk 14:30, 23 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. I can find no reliable sources that show any dates have been scheduled beyond Week 5, so I don't see any place to add four columns to the weekly schedule. I think the IP user means four more rows for the wildcards MSalmon (talk) 17:15, 26 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Wildcards

edit

Please stop adding the wildcards with sources from The Sun, The Mirror, Daily Mail etc. This is not confirmed information, all of these outlets are relying on the same information by a supposed "TV insider", which could be anyone, for all we know. While these acts look like the likely wildcards, we don't yet know, so please wait until Saturday evening when ITV officially confirms them before adding the information here. --Snowstormer (T | C) 11:20, 27 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Question about the results table?

edit

Rather than both 8th place, shouldn't Spencer and Talia both be joint 16th? Leon and Traceyleanne joint 14th and the acts that go home week 3 joint 12th? Unless there's an actual reason why it's the current way, someone enlighten me, I think it should be altered. 213.233.150.48 (talk) 23:57, 11 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

No we've used this format every year. This isn't a table to show where the contestant finished overall, it's where they finished in the voting. So for example Week 1 each day only 8 were eligible. So the contestant with the most votes finished 1st, the one with the least was 8th, and all the inbetweens will be filled in at the end of the series when we know the complete results. When the percentages are released it'll make a bit more sense, cause otherwise why would you go from 1st to 7th then skip to 16th? ThisIsDanny (talk) 00:41, 12 November 2017

So should there be an overall results table showing placement as well? I didn't realise it read downwards for each week instead of left to right overall!213.233.150.92 (talk) 02:10, 12 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

The table does show their placement as each eliminated act is placed below the remaining acts. — anemoneprojectors 22:51, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Update to ratings

edit

All the viewing ratings for this season have long since been published by BARB. The article has not been updated with the information and it is not possible for anyone to do so other than the wiki elites who locked the page. Perhaps one of the elites can add the information so that the article is accurate and complete, or unlock the article so that any inferior editor can add the information.12.26.59.37 (talk) 04:59, 19 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
