Bits from the other films edit
I am wondering does this film include Boromir's death from FOTR and Shelob/Saruman at Isengard from ROTK? And does it end with Frodo getting captured by the orcs: "Frodo was alive, but captured by the enemy"? -- Astrokey44|talk 14:17, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
No, it doesn't include anything from either of the other films. The Purist Edit was released shortly after the theatrical release of The Two Towers (i.e., early 2003), and it was made from a pirated DVD screener, so there are frequent instances of the "this DVD screener is not intended for sale" marquee at the bottom of the screen. While it is definitely worth watching, I think the makers of the Purist Edit could've done a much better job if they had waited until after all the extended editions of the films were released. That way they could've made it like you described, and it would've more closely followed the book. Avalyn 13:30, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Does the Purist Edit have the infamous scene in where Legolas (Orlando Bloom) goes surfing on an shield? I always thought Howard shore should have scored that to a 'Surfin' USA' parody.
