Emerson suggests that the Poet is the person needed in the society to maintain the relationship between humans and nature. The Poet has special sensitivity that allow him to penetrate the appearance of things to find deep meanings and spiritual truths in nature. Most of the times only through the Poet's internal eyes the invisible of the nature can be visible.
