I"m not a member but (I don't mean to be braggy but I think it's true because I read them all the time, and talk almost non stop about the e.c and I sometimes dream about them too.) I think.... I'm a expert on this subjct so I go against the movie idea. How could they find the right characters that look the same? How could they make the voices sound right? Ho could they capture the essence of the books? I think, some books could be made into pretty goo movies, but others.... I'm afraid they would mess it all up, with excuses, boring scripts and such, and... Some things are just meant to be on paper, not the silver screen. And I also pretty sure making into a RPG would mess the whole plot up. What if you kill the wrong person? What if you did something, and it messed up the rest of the game? This has appeared in the article without any proof, as the supposed "last book" where "all of the heroes will unite in an adventure to the other side of the Edge". I have searched for any news of such a book, without success. Therefore, I believe it to be vandalism and will remove it.--Ninty 21:19, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

Young-adult fiction or Children's book
Please, people. Stop changing it back to "children's books." The Edge Chronicles are not "childrens' books," but rather fall under the category of "young adult books," along with Artemis Fowl and all the others.

Information clarification
I am an avid fan of this series, and I use Wikipedia often to find out information about it (I use Wikipedia for everything, really). I just need someone to clarify this. I thought that there would be ten books in the series. Yet this info was changed to twelve. Is this true? Also, why can't I get the american version of Clash of the Sky Galleons anywhere?

You could start migrating over info for those characters who have info here but not their own pages. As for those that do, maybe migrating and redirecting at this point in time to the character list might be good; they're somewhat short on their own and not well referenced. I think the unique geography that this series takes place in merits its own article in order to relieve the clutter on its main page, but I have neither the time nor the energy to complete this page. Could people please help?
Also, I made a list of characters earlier, which would also take a lot of cluttering information away from this main page.

Chronological order
Should the books really be listed in chronological order instead of the order they were released in? I only started reading these books in English very recently, but my copy of The Winter Knights lists it as book 8, implying the release order is the correct order instead of the chronological order. It would also get rid of this pointless division into "sagas" and their seperate articles (which, in my opinion, are equally pointless and should be merged into this article.) Since this talk page isn't very active, I'm going to go ahead with this if I don't get any response. --ThunderPX (talk) 14:40, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- I'm confused with this too. I just bought Beyond the Deepwoods and finished it, thinking it was the first book of the series. I get on here to see what the next one is, and I see that there are two their 'sagas'. Very confusing. Can we get this article to GA status?
I start by declaring an interest: I am the UK publisher of the Edge Chronicle books and naturally interested in the well-being of the series (and the authors). When I look at this and the many other pages created by various fans of the Edge Chronicles, I can see a lot of good content, but some of it (and this page) doesn't yet meet the Wikipedia guidelines for good articles Wikipedia:Manual of Style (writing about fiction). I would really like to see this page qualify for Wikipedia:GA status as that would be both great for the books and of real use to new readers (see The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy).
