TlH3 thallane or TlH or is this article about both- and if so why have a chembox?

What is this article about? Thallane (TlH3) or TlH? The species reported in highest concentration in the low temp matrix study is TlH, only traces of TlH3 found. No surprise there! The chembox refers to TlH3. Axiosaurus (talk) 11:20, 11 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Well, most of the references relate to the trihydride, so does the chembox, and the the beginning of the lead. The monohydride is also important, so it needs to be discussed as well in a section within the article. Plasmic Physics (talk) 12:14, 11 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thallium hydride is not the correct name for the article IMHO, perhaps it should be thallium trihydride or thallane. Otherwise we need a disambiguation. On a chemistry note the monohydride could simplistically be expected to be more likely to exist than the trihydride simply because Tl chemistry is predominantly that of the +1 oxidation state and this and the "supporting" evidence that TlH predominated in the spectra of isolated TlHn moieties could be added. I agree, the page should be renamed Thallane, the monohydride, could be refered to as thallanylidene. Thallane is important, because it is the parent hydride, while thallanylidene is also important, because it is commoner. Plasmic Physics (talk) 21:42, 11 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
