My cat just caught one of these spiny lizards in Horseshoe Bay, TX. He picked it up with his mouth, and got the lizard stuck to the roof of his mouth. The underside of the lizard had a distinct blue patch. I quickly pulled the two apart, and the lizard slipped away to safety under our house.

My Daughter rescued one of these lizards from my grandmothers dog and this has been the best pet so far. We have bought a cage and crickets and a heat lamp..... My daughter is 6 and I think its the cutest thing ever! The lizard absolutly loves her. I forgot to mention that " Spiny" is missing 1 leg and his tail but he is doing great! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.155.125.170 (talk) 18:23, 6 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

I bought one of this lizards about a month ago in one of our area pet-stores. I have a 29 gallon tank that houses a young Bearded Dragon. So far they get along great. I like their color patterns; blue with fiery redish yellow specs, witch makes me believe that he's a male. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.224.87.228 (talk) 02:15, 8 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have a boy, and a girl, and the girl is about to lay her eggs!... or so I think. I found them both on trees, and so far they make great pets.67.79.25.26 (talk) 23:12, 24 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Found Texas spiny lizard edit

I just found one in my driveway yesterday. I got to pick it up and squirming a lot got it to the backyard and put it on the fence where I have a trumpet planted. Got home few minutes ago and he is still there. I can touch it and rub its head. So what does anyone know if it might have been a pet. How long should I leave it outside. Any ideas would be appreciated thanks 2600:1700:371E:9FB0:7DAF:1078:7846:AE72 (talk) 03:57, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
