Protection
editCan someone protect the page because people kept changing the information?Donnowin1 (talk) 09:11, 27 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Donnowin1: do you have proof that the information is false? If yes send it to WP:RPP otherwise protection is not needed. Avono (talk) 12:11, 27 November 2014 (UTC)
Name Change
editAccording to WWE's own website and multiple articles for match ups and the graphic, the PPV has been renamed to "TLC: Tables, Ladders, Chairs ... and Stairs". The new name is listed here: <http://www.wwe.com/shows/wwetlc/2014/john-cena-seth-rollins-tables-match-26847148 here: http://www.wwe.com/shows/wwetlc/2014/erick-rowan-vs-big-show-stairs-match-26878753 and here http://www.wwe.com/shows/wwetlc and basically including every other match up article listed on that page. Brody's Ghost (talk) 04:25, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
This is not a joke edit or something. WWE.com has officially been calling the PPV TLC: Tables, Ladders, Chairs ... and Stairs since Wednesday December 3rd. Brody's Ghost (talk) 20:01, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
That is not the official name. It is because of the Stairs match that night. Thank you -Vincent Kennedy McMahon
It's absolutely the official name. They added it to the graphics and the custom Ring Apron.Crispy385 (talk) 09:03, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
The official name of the event is "TLC: Tables, Ladders, Chairs...and Stairs" as indicated on both WWE.com and any promotional material/arena banners relating to the event - the name of the page should reflect this. Please make these changes when the page is no longer locked.124.169.150.7 (talk) 13:06, 21 December 2014 (UTC)

Add "(And Stairs)" to the name 120.148.82.175 (talk) 09:25, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
- Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Avono (talk) 11:28, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
Serious question. Why doesn't the "and Stairs" in the logo not count? 24.45.183.112 (talk) 06:45, 21 December 2014 (UTC)

Image
editI've been watching a steady flipping back and forth between two images in this article: File:TLC 2014 poster.jpeg and File:WWE TLC 2014 Poster.jpg. Guess what? It's stopping effective now. I'm pulling both images until folks can hash out which image is supposed to on this page. Talk it out folks... Tabercil (talk) 22:53, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
TLC 2014 poster.jpeg is the offical poster as it includes and stairs and the name of PPV is tlc: tables, ladders, chairs and stairs. Mostafa Elsherbini (talk) 12:39, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
And please change the name of the article to TLC: Tables, Ladders, Chairs and Stairs. Mostafa Elsherbini (talk) 12:42, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

- I see there's still no consensus - and I've just blocked both warring editors on that very grounds. Get consensus here first folks. Tabercil (talk) 21:38, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
I said what i need in this talk page
Mostafa Elsherbini (talk) 18:53, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
- Are you sure there's consensus? If not, then you're opening yourself up to being blocked again if the edit warring resumes... Tabercil (talk) 22:36, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
- And that's what I'm starting to see - the edit warring resuming over the image. Fair warning to both sides: if I block for continued edit warring, it's going to be for a lot longer than just 3 days... Tabercil (talk) 12:07, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
- Bzzzt!!! And the fighting has resumed! Guess what? Both sides are getting a nice 2 week vacation from editing privileges - the only reason why it's not permanent is because both editors have made useful contributions. And blocking means it's the editor that's blocked not the specific account - hello there User:Mostafa Elsherbini 24, you've been permablocked! Tabercil (talk) 21:35, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

Here's a really dumb question to all involved: can anyone point to anywhere that shows that the poster of Dolph Ziggler holding a chair was created by the WWE?? Either with or without that "Stairs" addendum? Tabercil (talk) 22:20, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
- Okay, I think I might have answered my own question. I found an Ebay auction here for a "DOLPH ZIGGLER WWE 2014 TLC PPV Pay Per View Poster 27x40" where there's a picture showing it's an existing physical item. No "Stairs" addendum to it though... Tabercil (talk) 22:34, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
The Correct Name Of This Event Is "Tables, Ladders, Chairs ... and Stairs"!
editI'm not sure how I've missed this nonsensical debate until now, but the name of this event was unquestionably "Tables, Ladders, Chairs ... and Stairs". This shouldn't even be up for debate. Go on WWE Network and watch the show itself and you'll see the "... and Stairs" part of the name shown all over the show(on screen graphics, banners in the arena, ring apron, the Titantron, etc.). Also go on WWE Network and watch all the Raw and SmackDown episodes leading up to the show from early December 2014 on. The original name of the show was simply "Tables, Ladders and Chairs". When the promotional poster was printed out and sold on WWEShop.com, the name of the event had not changed yet, that is why you don't see the "... and Stairs" part on the physical poster featuring Dolph Ziggler because WWE changed the name of the event after the physical poster had already been printed. Once the Big Show vs Erick Rowan "Stairs Match" was announced, that was when WWE changed the name of the event. The poster you see of Dolph with the "... and Stairs" part included wasn't sold as an actual physical poster on WWEShop.com. That was simply an updated version of the poster with the new name that WWE only used on their website and advertising online. It was too late to reprint out brand new physical posters to be sold on WWEShop.
The same thing happened back in February 1998 with "No Way Out of Texas: In Your House". All of the physical promotional material sent out(posters, magazine ads, etc.) only included the original name of the event, "No Way Out: In Your House". A couple of weeks before that ppv aired they changed the name of the show to "No Way Out of Texas: In Your House". The bottom line is the name of the TLC 2014 show was 100% "Tables, Ladders, Chairs ... and Stairs". If you need further proof of everything I said, just use Archive.org and look up WWE.com from December 2014. Unblock this page from being moved to the correct name. As for the poster debate, both posters of Dolph(with and without the "... and Stairs" addendum) are correct. You can use either version. Stop removing them and end this debate once and for all. Thank you. OldSkool01 (talk) 12:41, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
- Fine. If you can dig up the relevant link on the WWE website on the Wayback machine, we'll cheerfully make the appropriate changes. Remember per WP:BURDEN "The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material". Tabercil (talk) 00:10, 3 December 2015 (UTC)
- Here you go: https://web.archive.org/web/20141214060458/http://www.wwe.com/shows/wwetlc/2014/matches Took 2 seconds to find that. You'll notice the "... and Stairs" part of the name is everywhere. OldSkool01 (talk) 19:39, 3 December 2015 (UTC)
- Okay, that solves the "And Stairs" issue. Still leaves the official poster up in the air... Tabercil (talk) 22:49, 3 December 2015 (UTC)
- And this should solve that too: http://shop.wwe.com/WWE-TLC-2014-Poster/W05942,default,pd.html Like I said, the actual poster that was sold on WWEShop was printed before they changed the event name. So either poster(with and without the "... and Stairs" addendum) is accurate. OldSkool01 (talk) 23:15, 3 December 2015 (UTC)
- Maybe, but that particular version is the only one we can prove as being done by the WWE. So that's the one that goes in the article. Tabercil (talk) 02:00, 4 December 2015 (UTC)
- I'm looking for a link that shows the updated poster somewhere on WWE.com. But in the meantime it's been proven what the name of the event was and we also have the original poster confirmed. So let's at least update those asap. OldSkool01 (talk) 02:56, 4 December 2015 (UTC)
- The closest thing I've found to the updated poster is at this link... https://web.archive.org/web/20141210204358/http://www.wwe.com/shows/wwetlc Once you click on that, scroll through the headlines on the main page until you see the picture of Dolph with the Santa hat. If you highlight that story you'll see a variation of the updated poster. I'm still searching for the full updated poster. Also, what is the holdup on making the correct changes to this Wiki page? I've provided more than enough official sources. OldSkool01 (talk) 09:42, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
