Say CROWN
Krona means crown. So why say krona? Just say crown. Same with the currencies in other parts of Scandinavia, plus Czechia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.180.68.218 (talk) 05:59, 5 May 2018 (UTC)
- No. The currency Krona does not mean "crown" in English, it means "Krona". For the same reason that Sweden's capital is not called Log Islet in English; you do not translate proper names. However, the Swedish word for the headgear "krona" does mean "crown" in English.--Christoffre (talk) 16:48, 5 May 2018 (UTC)
The de facto plural form of Öre
This edit added "de facto" and says that the "de facto plural form is ören".
I just wonder, what is the real, de jure, plural form of Öre? I suspect that adding "de facto" is unnecessary, but grammatical rules aren't my strong side. ----Christoffre (talk) 20:06, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
