Propose renaming article
editThis location on the campus of the College of William and Mary is actually named the Sunken Garden - not the plural Sunken Gardens. There are numerous references to its proper name at the university's website including the Henley Plant Tour: http://web.wm.edu/leec/planttour/SunkenGarden.html. I attempted to rename and move this article in 2007 and did not realize until much later that it was moved back to this name. While some people do mistakenly refer to it as the "Sunken Gardens" I would compare that to individuals who mistakenly insert a possessive or plural S at the end of other proper names such as "Walmarts."
I am the university archivist at William and Mary, which means that I know a bit about the university and can certainly provide an overwhelming amount of documentary sources in support of renaming this article. Acschi (talk) 16:08, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
