Vandalism

Indeed, a classic case of malicious vandalism. Interestingly (and suspiciously), the GOP campaign in South Dakota obviously reads Wikipedia quite closely since shortly after the vandal struck, an email was circulated [1] that referred to the "rumour" (subsequently covered here [2]). It would not be an earth-shattering surprise if the IP came from someone close to the opponents campaign.... For shame! Eusebeus 10:26, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Most Attractive Member

User 67.139.62.177 added "She is currently the most physically attractive representative in Congress." While I tend to agree with him/her, it obviously doesn't belong in here, unless she was voted the best looking member of congress or something (Tallbuildings 13:13, 4 August 2006 (UTC))

The fact that SH has changed her hair style and colour so dramatically that the Wikipedia photo no longer resembles her is, I believe, relevant. If a male politician grew or shaved off a beard or moustache, it would be worth a mention. Engaged?

Somebody (Wirehair) updated the page to say she was engaged to Max Sandlin and stated that a firsthand conversation was the source - I reverted due to the policy on 'no original research' in biographies of living persons. 68.13.41.210 21:13, 26 January 2007 (UTC) I updated the page to add a reference to the inter-party fighting over whether Herseth cost Daschle the senate race. But I didn't have a chance to go find a source. I'm sure if you' google it you can find one of many blogs referencing it.

I know that wasn't proper wiki proceedure, but I think it's something important enough to internal SD politics to be inlcuded on the page.

Place of Birth

In the information box, it says that Congresswoman Herseth was born near Houghton, SD. I know that she GREW UP on the family farm near Houghton, but I doubt very much that she was actually born on the farm, given that she was born in the 1970s and that would be very unusual. Does anyone have confirmation of this? Tonywiki 05:42, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
