Normal showers edit

Umm, want a page on "normal" showers and their history, can't find anything on it. Even encarta has decent info on it, wtf? JayKeaton 16:01, 3 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Steam vs. Water vapour edit

The last comment on this page is rather misleading... With reference to the articles on water vapour and steam; they are the same thing. Water in it's gaseous state, invisible. It's only when it condenses and mixes with air (liquid water droplets suspended in air) that is becomes visible. Flippin42 09:10, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I reworded the sentence using the first part of steam as a guide. I'm not sure if the sentence is even required, feel free to change or remove it - I honestly don't know the technical distinction (if any) between steam and water vapor. Be bold! skip (t / c) 06:04, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
An accurate description would be condensed water vapor. --User101010 (talk) 00:12, 26 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

edit

Is it just me, or does this article read like an ad? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Simen 88 (talkcontribs).

I agree that the article has POV issues, and recently several commercial links have been added repeatedly. I've tried to make the article more neutral, but I've never even seen a steam shower. Be bold! skip (t / c) 06:04, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Non Commercial edit

There is a non commercial site called *[steamshower.net] that seems to have some additional information. Perhaps it can be brought here.

That's a commercial URL. I've seen you use two user accounts to post that URL however it is a professional advertisement site for Adam Simmons. —Tokek 15:45, 6 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

The comercial link violates Wikipedia's external link policy (see WP:EL) in a number of areas - notably because the site primarily exists to sell stuff. I believe that the community should continue to delete it every time it pops up.

The case for deleting the link to Adam Simmons' site is slightly less clear (actually its not, its should be deleted- its commercial)because it is ostensibly non-commercial, but it still recommends certain brands and warns the reader away from others.(bingo!!- dont forget about the active hyperlinks)

I still think this link does not belong in Wikipedia because a) it's not authoritative (it's not the web site of a trade association, for example); and b) it does not provide a "unique resource", beyond what SHOULD appear in a well-written Wikipedia article on this topic. Adam: if your only goal is to get this information out to the public, I suggest that you put your expertise into updating the content of the Wikipedia article itself. Furthermore, I will begin to delete the reference to steamshower.net because it does in fact make recommendations to certain brands and displays an active hyperlink to those brands. If we do not allow a site that sells stuff to post a link then the community should not allow a reference page that makes recommendations and serves hyperlinks to those recommendations.

Revisit Commercial link page by 'WikiMeForLife' edit

The community should no longer allow this link for steamshower.net to be posted.

Commercial links to Thermasol edit

located in the reference page and the external links page (removed prior to this post) Thermasol is a commercial dealer of steam showers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.127.117.187 (talk) 06:04, 16 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Candidate for deletion? edit

This page was obviously created almost solely with commercial motivations. If deleltion is asking too much, then surely it could be shortened and merged with the shower article? I mean just how wide-spread are steam showers, really? Do they deserve a whole page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.181.153.16 (talk) 08:17, 2 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
