Talk:Static trapeze

Proposed merger edit

There are many variations on static/fixed trapeze (doubles, triple trap, etc), but I'm not sure that each are notable enough to merit their own page, especially considering that these pages are all stubs. Perhaps better to list them all on the static trapeze page, with explanations of each. This would also mean that the reader/researcher would only have to read through one page in order to understand the different types. --hibou (talk) 14:17, 28 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

I think I'm broadly in favour of that - unless there is a lot of extra content - then it can be split out later. Can probably include cradle and static hoop type things too. EdwardLane (talk) 09:39, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

18/03/2012 - I agree, I think a merged page would be more useful.

Various moves need describing edit

some that are missing too

planche(spelling?), meathook, toysoldier, inverted crucifix, handstand on the bar, layout in the ropes, neck hang, monkey roll, windmill (is that russian roll ?), around the world, crescent moon, sitting, standing, transitions, lampost, front balance, knee balance, back balance, star on the bar, skinning the cat.EdwardLane (talk) 09:36, 6 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

ok tried to cover and describe most of the stuff listed, ther eare a few I didn't know what they refered to so I left them at the bottom of the list. I notice there are quite a few that probably have slight variations for names. I guess this all needs a bunch of cite notes now. EdwardLane (talk) 19:24, 2 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
ok found a source [1]

the document uses a couple of different names for tricks to the ones I know - it seems to use the word 'skinners' for what I consider to be 'monkey roll' but otherwise it looks to cover a lot of moves nicely. EdwardLane (talk) 09:40, 6 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Found a set of animations for a bunch of moves - here EdwardLane (talk) 09:20, 15 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
