Talk:Socioeconomic decile

I've just done a tidy-up, but am now concerned that I may have inadvertantly mis-represented the way in which "decile" works by removing the text "whereas decile 10 schools are the 10% of schools with the lowest proportion of these [poor] students...". In particular this page [1] says "...A school's decile does not indicate the overall socio-economic mix of the school...". Is it true, as that page seems to suggest, that a Decile 10 school is one with no pupils from the poorest - but could be 100% of the nearly-poorest? Snori (talk) 00:01, 13 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect use of the term "decile".

The authors do not know understand the term they used in the article. "The decile 10" has non sense. Theoretically, 10-th decile is the same as the maximum. 85.64.245.144 (talk) 13:36, 18 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
