I originated this article so that the Society of Engineers would not be forgotten. To trace it on IET website is difficult except on IIE Focus

You can arrive at this address from the IET site [ http://www.theiet.org/ ] and entering Society-of-Engineers at top right hand search box. Click 'search' and a list of results will appear. At the present time,(February 2007), the IIE Focus topic comes up as Number 4. it was a struggle getting the history panel within the margins but this was accomplished in august 2007.
