Fair use rationale for Image:SkyTrackers-VHS.JPG edit

Image:SkyTrackers-VHS.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

When did the series premier? 1994? 1995? edit

The series is reported to have been released in Australia on 19 March 1995. However, 1994 is often given as a date for the series. I wonder why?! Did it premier earlier internationally? I wonder where the 1994 date comes from! ~ Aliveness Cascade (talk) 13:48, 16 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

And the series won the 1994 Australian Film Insitute Award for Best Children's Television Drama, with Zbych Trofimiuk winning the 1994 Young Actor award for Sky Trackers! It certainly is puzzling! Can anyone throw light on this please? ~ Aliveness Cascade (talk) 14:35, 16 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
I've noticed that the National Film Archive @ Screen Australia has the "Production Completed" date as 1994 - so I guess that's the answer - though it is also possible it screened somewhere internationally before transmitting in Australia, as there seems to have been quite a delay between completion and domestic broadcast. ~ Aliveness Cascade (talk) 22:41, 16 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Also, the copyright date on the ends of the episodes is 1994. Nevertheless, at least two sources pinpoint the Australian broadcast premier as 19 March 1995. ~ Aliveness Cascade (talk) 03:21, 1 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Split TV Movie into different article? edit

Don't know what's best here. One article or two?!

Although one source calls the TV movie a "feature-length pilot" (which would indicate towards a combined article) the TV movie is so different from the TV series that it barely fits being called a pilot for the series. It has an entirely different cast - and most of the characters are different too - and the story was located and shot in different place - it does not share continuity - and production of the movie and series was three years apart - and the movie was a co-production with Disney, but the series was all ACTF's.

The fact that they have entirely different casts means separate articles would be neater. Or are we to list both casts in the infobox and cast section of a single article?

I'd be very interested to find out more information on the creation and development both of the original TV movie and the series, but there does not seem to be a great deal of info available (not online at least).~ Aliveness Cascade (talk) 14:03, 16 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
