The introductory sentence is quite misleading and contradicts the general case indicated below. I'd rather put the general definition, that is: "The size of a test is the supremum of the probability of a type 1 error". (MaehMaeh (talk) 09:23, 7 June 2016 (UTC))
confusing symbols edit
The same symbol is used for the size of a test and its significance level. Though I'm not aware of another symbol for the size, this is conceptually confusing, especially in the context of this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.231.228.243 (talk) 21:33, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
