It is also highly fictionalized, by having the Empress being raped by her husband and requesting that her lady-in-waiting should kill her with a shiv and blaming it on an Italian anarchist, as she was actually assassinated in real life. StrongALPHA (talk) 10:21, 13 May 2023 (UTC)

That's quite obvious at this point when the lede has "It tells a fictionalized story" in it and the director's statement in the production section calling it "a wild reinterpretation". Zoolver (talk) 18:13, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
