Highlighting the Epic of Gilgamesh Sippar tablet?
editI think this article should highlight one of the most famous cuneiform tablets discovered there, namely the "Sippar tablet" from the Epic of Gilgamesh. This tablet contains information missing from the later Akkadian version and represents a critical element of the older (Old Babylonian) version of the Epic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wiki-proofer-and-tagger (talk • contribs) 22:47, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
Si.427
editFYI, there is some talk at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Si.427 of moving information about that tablet into the archeology section here. Danstronger (talk) 16:49, 10 November 2021 (UTC)

editNow respectable though the history section, while the facts and sources are now there, could use a bit of work by someone with better writing skills. For the record I could find no proper source for "Zimbir". It was used by a couple century+ old papers without support and a few other people since followed that on faith. I'm not saying that Sippar isn't Zimbir, I'm saying I could find no proof of that.Ploversegg (talk) 03:04, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
