More Hallmarks To Be Added
editI plan to improve this page. This was originally a section in the sterling silver page. But there were two problems:
- the information was getting too lengthy
- there were starting to be descriptions of hallmarks on silver that were not used to mark sterling (silver of the 925 millesimal fineness
Therefore, I moved this information to a separate page.
Citations!
editThis article absolutely stinks. There is not one decent citation within it except the quote I added at the end of the sec. on the United States. Shame.75.21.98.34 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 03:34, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
Overseas marks
editYou say, "An additional mark to indicate that an item was assayed outside the UK is likely to be introduced in 2018." Was this done, and if so, what is the mark please?
Maker's mark
editI think that the "Maker's mark" topic is better covered under Factory mark. I therefore plan to change the Maker's mark redirect to point to the Factory mark. Викидим (talk) 10:20, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
