Bikram Samwat vs the Western Calendar

As things currently stand, the "Awards" section of this article gives its dates entirely in the NepaleseBikram Samwat calendar. Now, with all due respect to the Nepalese calendar, the English Wikipedia is, as I understand it, supposed to be internationally accessible. We don't have separate English Wikipedias for American English, British English, Nepalese English, etc. We have one English Wikipedia, which should be just as comprehensible to an American as to an Anglophone Indian or an Anglophone Nigerian. That said, I suspect virtually no one outside of Nepal and the Nepalese diaspora will understand the Bikram Samwat system employed in this article, which renders the dating in the "Awards" section virtually meaningless for most of our readers. I propose, then, that we convert those dates into their Western equivalents. I would not object to placing the Bikram Samwat date in parentheses after the Western date. Thoughts? Opinions?
