Inline citation

edit

I am a real "newbie" to Wikipedia, so I am just asking what might be a stupid question. If you are using an inline citation, where does the reference go? I found this as my guide:

Help:Referencing for beginners - Wikipedia

They are generally added either directly following the fact that they support, or at the end of the sentence that they support, following any punctuation.

I was always told that if your reference after the punctuation (period) that this references the next sentence.

Any guidance please would be appreciated. Kirkwood mg (talk) 14:55, 25 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
