Some of the citations are not up to the quality hoped for. The name change from "Hotel Ludy" to "The Senator" was narrowed down to the years 1935-1941 based on post cards featuring the hotel and their stamp cancellation dates, and those were from web sites which sell vintage post cards. The closure of the Senator as a hotel could have happened earlier than 1965. This was based on a 1965 family vacation when the hotel was obviously shuttered.
