In the interest of full disclosure I would like to mention that I was 'found guilty' of 'meatpuppetry' behind this article. I continue to 'proclaim my innocence' (I just realized I've always wanted to say that), and I'm happy to debate the merits of my conviction _on_my_talk_page_ (not here). After which, I'd recused myself from expressing my opinion vis-a-vis this article, but I feel I owe it to Blaxthos to chime in here. After all, I started all of this, and he was conscientious enough to follow up.

PROPOSAL #1 IS MINE

Now that that is out of the way, my request is only that the information critical of Mr. Hannity that was removed by a well known vandal in June is reinserted into the article. I have added more reliable sources and more defense of Mr. Hannity in order to make the blurb more palatable to those with dissenting opinion. I will gladly recuse myself from further arguing this point. I only ask that my esteemed fellow editors who frequent this page and disagreed with me do the same.

Anyway, as I accurately predicted in 2008 (I said: 'the next step is someone coming along and saying it is not notable. Then this entire article will go back to having no criticism of hannity at all, like when I found it.'), the criticism that was fought so hard for by the community was once again removed. PROPOSAL #1 is what I would like to see put back in for a second round of debate.

It doesn't matter to me how many different sources we use, I still don't believe that the topics of #1 or #2 really belong in the bio. #1 is simply a non-event in his life, period, and happened on a show that doesn't exist anymore. #2, as I have said all along, belongs more properly in the article about the show, not in the bio. Proposal 1

The October 5, 2008 broadcast of Hannity's America entitled Obama & Friends: The History of Radicalism presented Andy Martin as a primary source and expert on Barack Obama, without noting Martin's record of anti-Semitism. The show drew criticism from multiple media outlets. The LA Times media columnist James Rainey described the piece as a "faux documentary" and a "new low".[1] The New York Times said the broadcast was "the latest step in the evolution of opinion journalism on cable news" and went on to say that the broadcast "was notable in presenting partisan accusations against Mr. Obama in a journalistic, documentary format in prime time."[2]. Fox Senior Vice President Bill Shine later stated that having Martin on was a mistake and added that it was a result of inadequate research. [3]

Hannity is often criticized by liberal media outlets[4][5][6][7][8] and guests of his show[9][10] for providing a forum on his late 1990s WABC radio program[11][12] and his Hannity's America television program [13] to white supremacists[14][15] Hal Turner and Andy Martin[16]. Phil Boyce, program director at WABC-AM, told The Record of Bergen County, New Jersey that Turner's views were "inappropriate", and that they stopped taking his calls when "basically, the shows didn't feel he was of value anymore." For his part, Turner said that Hannity had become too "timid" and "politically correct".[11] Sean Hannity has denies he ever considered Turner a friend. In respone to a guest on his show, Mr. Hannity at first denied any association with turner saying "I don't know anybody named - this is nonsense", but later clarified by saying "Sir... That was a man that was banned from my radio show ten years ago, that ran a Senate campaign in New Jersey."[17]

Proposal 2

In April of 2009 Sean Hannity offered to undergo waterboarding in order to prove it does not constitute torture. In response, Liberal news show host Kieth Olbermann offered to donate $1,000 to families of U.S. troops for every second that Mr. Hannity could sustain the waterboarding. In addition, Mr. Olbermann offered to 'double down' if Mr. Hannity admitted that, among other things, waterboarding did constitute torture. [18]. I concede that this may not belong in the Sean hannity article itself. Perhaps instead it should go in the Hannity's America or John Cleese articles. I have not given this much thought.
