Talk:Schnorrer/Archive 1

Doesn't it also mean a person always looking for handouts? In typical common usage: "Shemp wants some free hockey tickets. He is such a Schnorrer!" Not always a tramp, this is more of a "bum" connotation. Ashton Coochter 22:42, 31 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

The proper article, Schnorrer (Yiddish), explains that "Schnorrer" means "beggar" or "sponger". When the present disambiguation page gets unprotected, it should be changed to be consistent with the article. --MarkSweep (call me collect) 05:36, 1 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
Mark, shouldn't this page be unprotected by now? Ashton Coochter 20:17, 7 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
Feel free to suggest any changes. If it becomes unprotected it will be vandal-bot attacked again. SchmuckyTheCat 00:32, 8 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
