GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

This article is in decent shape, but it needs more work before it becomes a Good Article.

  1. Is it well written?
    A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
In the Sayanything (2000–2002) section, this sentence ---> "Bemis began writing songs; his first was called "Sappy", maybe adding "song" or "one", your choice, after "first".

    B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation:
In the Signing with Doghouse Records (2002–2004) section, it would be best if "…Is a Real Boy" is linked once, per here. In the Major label and more breakdowns (2005) and First headlining tours (2005–2007) sections, link "bipolar disorder" and "Was a Real Boy" once. In the In Defense of the Genre (2007–2008) section, fix the link to "Anthony Green". Same section, link "In Defense of the Genre" once.

  2. Is it verifiable with no original research, as shown by a source spot-check?
    A. It contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline:
    References 5, 6, 7, 11, 14, 16, 17, 18, 23, 44, 47, 48, 51, 52, and 56 are missing Publisher info.

    B. Reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose):
Does Reference 10 cover all this ---> "After signing with the label, Bemis began writing songs for his band's Doghouse debut. He and Linder also started the search for a producer. The two met several producers but eventually decided on Tim O'Heir and Stephen Trask. Bemis struggled with different ideas for the record and decided the album should focus on "the artistic struggle, the fact that every creative person has this sick ambition to affect some sort of change in society with their art, to be more than just a guy in a band or a poet or a sculptor"?

    C. It contains no original research:
    D. It contains no copyright violations nor plagiarism:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. It addresses the main aspects of the topic:
    B. It stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style):
  4. Is it neutral?
It represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each:
  5. Is it stable?
It does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute:
  6. Is it illustrated, if possible, by images?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content:
    B. Images are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
It would be best if images Say Anything @ Pipeline Cafe.jpg and Say Anything max coby.png are placed on the right, per here.

  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:
If the following statements can be answered, I will pass the article. Good luck with improving this article!

Fixes

edit

1.A: fixed
1.B: fixed
2.A: I added publishers for all of these, except for a couple I only added the works for. This seems OK, but if it's not, let me know.
2.B: That reference was there for the quotation. I removed the reference and just left the two references at the end of the paragraph (10 and 11), from where I got all the information for that paragraph.
6.B: photos are now on the right

Thank you to icorey for getting the stuff I left at the talk page, because I have gone off and placed the article as GA. Congrats. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 15:29, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
