The novel 'Fulgrim' brought up the possibility that Tarvitz might be alive. Ancient Rylanor was rumored to be protecting an underground hangar below the Precentors Palace, where Tarvitz and his men were holding. This sparks a possibility that Tarvitz may have been able to get off Isstvan.
