Talk:Saskatchewan Government Insurance/Archives/2016

Untitled

I feel that their lacks balance in this article. It fails to address the number of public opinion polls that support public auto insurance, it's policy against age and sex discrimination which offers substantially lower rates to young drivers and the numerous studies comparing the average costs of car insurance between provinces with pubic-sector auto insurance and provinces without.

The article appears written to advocate and praise for the company. It needs much work. Example of biased wording: "When SGI was created in 1945, high insurance costs were one of the serious problems plaguing the people of Saskatchewan." Fremte 19:13, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
I have changed the wording to neutral in the history section. More should be done. Fremte 19:36, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

I however feel that the article gives the false impression that those who have opted out of no-fault are again under a standard tort system - that is not the case.

Without doubt many of the citizens of Saskatchewan desire a private insurance choice - if people wish to have such choice shouldn't a free and open society offer such a choice?
