Redirect target

edit

I changed the target to seawater. My reason was that this is an adjective that's most of the time applied to something (like fish) that live in or are in other ways related to the sea. When you look at links here, most of those are this sense. A usage of the adjective saltwater (as opposed to the noun salt water) to mean "related to saline water" seems rare enough to me to justify pointing this at seawater.--ospalh (talk) 08:47, 14 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Since there are two songs and a group with the name "Saltwater" on the disambig page, and saltwater is a common spelling variety of salt water, I think redirecting saltwater to salt water makes more sense. Any time saltwater fish, etc. links to saltwater, I believe it would make more sense to simply alter the wikilinking of those articles to direct to seawater. If you still think it should be changed to seawater I would be open to comment by a third opinion, but I do think many searches for the term salt water will be typed in as saltwater, and since seawater is one of the articles on the disambig page, linking saltwater to salt water makes more sense to me. Articles that use saltwater in their text instead of seawater can be directed to seawater by changing the wikilinking, either to saltwater or seawater.
