England

Didn't Minako live in England for some time? When, and why? --Masamage 20:04, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

No, she didn't live. She is a fictional character, she can't live :) I remember a chapter in the anime where she meets an old friend from the police, who was dating her ex-boyfriend or something like that. If that is correct, then it was sometime while being Sailor V. -- ReyBrujo 20:13, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
Not that kind of live. ;P But yeah, I thought it was as Sailor V, and in particular, I thought she was there for an extended period of time. The Codename Wa article doesn't shed any further light on it, though. Blorp. --Masamage 20:18, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

in sailor moon s (anmie) a vollyballer frend sayed that she changed after she came back from englandSailor cuteness

She was living in England while she was assuming the identity of Sailor V in the anime. When Luna started awakening the Senshi in Japan (a year after Minako had awoken) she transfered back to Japanese school. She also had a first love in England, but he had fallen in love with her "sister" the police officer. -SaturnYoshi 23:57, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Excellent! :D Wanna work that in? --Masamage 02:08, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
Alright. Done. It may be a little lengthy, but tell me what you think. -SaturnYoshi 06:18, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
I think this section really is too lengthy and detailed, especially for something that was only mentioned in one episode of the anime. Wouldn't it be enough just to say that in the anime, she spent some time in England working as Sailor V? --KagamiNoMiko 18:45, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

On earth, this character actually resides in Japan with the other Sailor Scouts. --PJ Pete

True, most of the time. She does have a brief stint in England as Sailor V. --Masamage 05:11, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
In PGSM Act 9, Minako is shown in England. Could this be a reference to her time in England in the manga? 76.99.238.2 01:30, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
Seems likely to me. ^^ --Masamage 01:43, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

Manga Image

As per the template (Ami's page) we need a manga civilian shot in the stats section. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lego3400 (talkcontribs) 02:46, 4 December 2006 (UTC).

That's still just a proposal; no one's commented yet. If you agree, do please mention it over there. ^^ --Masamage 20:10, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Appearance

Sailor Venus wearing a bow, makes her look less mature than the other Sailor Scouts, because most teenage girls and older women don't wear bows on their heads and believe they're too old for them. --PJ Pete

And thats your opinain.. And your Opinain is not NPoV :PLego3400: The Sage of Time 16:37, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Come to that, I have no idea what connotation hair-bows have in Japan as opposed to the United States. It's probably different. --Masamage 20:07, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Seeing her without the hairbow (of which there are a few shots throughout the anime) makes her look even less mature IMHO. It's sort of a trademark, much like Ami's short hair or Usagi's odangoes. --Zyppora 15:55, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
She only started wearing the bow in the manga because Higashi (the youma Narcissus in disguise) said it would look good on her. Lunar Archivist (talk) 17:33, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

Death of Venus PGSM

Acorrding to Mars' Page, Venus dies in PGSM? How is that possible if she is present in the Speical act? Does she get revived? I think this warrents a mention --Lego3400: The Sage of Time 16:58, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Yes, she does. I'm hesitant about adding that tidbit because it's such a huge spoiler--way, way moreso than anything in the anime, which is 14 years old. If we can figure out a way to put it in without spoiling anyone or making an excessively big deal about it, that would be great; let's just be very careful. --Masamage 17:50, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
Considered me spoiled. I've known about it for some time (read it on Mars' page), I just haven't watched PGSM all the way through. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 02:28, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
She does indeed die in PGSM. The reason for her return (as well as the faith of the other Senshi) would indeed be a huge spoiler (yes, I've watched the entire PGSM series, and found it to be more enjoyable in several ways than the anime). I say leave it out. If people really want to know what happened, they should watch the series. It's unlicensed and *should stop advertising* --Zyppora 15:53, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

To tell the truth, SHE DID NOT DIE!!!!!!!! --PJ Pete

Stop creating arguments with everyone about a subject you obviously know very little about!!! -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 08:52, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
She did die. Watch the episode, dammit. The only way they could have made it more obvious is if they had actually shown the body. Why the hell do you think Rei broke down and Minako was completely absent from the final battle? 129.59.97.254 07:19, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
No need to shout. I'm pretty sure this was a misunderstanding on PJ's part; no harm done. --Masamage 16:44, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Is this about the live-action version, anime, or manga versions???--68.32.149.132 (talk) 23:21, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
PGSM, the live-action version. -- RattleMan 23:29, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Quotes

What episode does this quote, "Whoops! Froze the whipping cream!" come from? --PJ Pete

Episode 62, "Sailor Mercury Moving On?". -- RattleMan 03:47, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

If she froze the whipping cream, she found out it was disgusting. PJ Pete

What are you talking about? The droid of the day went to go and attack Venus, but instead hit and froze some whipping cream. -- RattleMan 05:50, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Stone Sword

Is it notable enough to mention that Venus, as the leader of the senshi, was entrusted with the poisonous stone sword Princess Serenity commited suicide with in the 11th act of the manga? I haven't been able to find any sort of reference to the sword in Wikipedia, despite it being an important plot point of the manga. It seems to me that either Minako or Usagi's profile would be the best place to put it. Any opinions? Torca 01:25, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

I've wondered about that too. We do plan to eventually have a single page which talks about the first story arc (modelled on the already-extant Sailor Stars article)--that seems like a good place to me, especially since it never really comes up again. What do you think? --Masamage 01:32, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
That works for me, although looking at the WP:SM page it doesn't seem like the first story arc's page will be made any time soon. Even so, there might should be a tie to it in the article, much like the talismans of Setsuna, Haruka, and Michiru. It demonstrates the leadership of her over the inner senshi, and it's good information for anyone who's trying to write a paper on her, or even a fan work. Torca 01:50, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Does anyone object to me putting the following line into the Sailor Venus section?
In the manga, as the leader, she is entrusted with the poisonous sword used to kill Queen Beryl, which turns the stone blade into a sword made of Silver Imperium Crystal.
It would go after the "...under the sometimes-awkward leadership of Sailor Moon." I'm afraid it might just be a spoiler though and I should cut out the Queen Beryl part. >.< This is why I can't edit, I'm too afraid to do anything! Torca 21:57, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
It sounds great to me; nice and brief, and that's a good spot for it. There's a spoiler-warning right above the table of contents, so we're home free. :) My only nitpicks are that "Imperium" is an English-only name; the article lives at Silver Crystal, so using that term seems to make most sense (probably a link would be good too). Also, is it "turned into" a crystal sword or "revealed as" having been that all along? I'll let you answer that--feel free to edit it in to your heart's content. :) --Masamage 08:21, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure it turned into it. The manga makes mention that the Moon has become poisonous and inhopsitable and it will remain so until they are rid of the Dark Kingdom's influence, then once Beryl is destroyed the sword is no longer poisonous stone but Silver Crystal. I can't think of any way to phrase it that would be neutral, though. [They never say anything about the sword explicitly] [Forgot to sign, sorry]Torca 03:49, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Debut?

Minako's debut as Sailor V in the Sailor Moon manga is written as Act 1. I understand why, as she is mentioned, but she doesn't actually appear until act 7. Should that be mentioned somehow, or is Wikipedia's standards to go with when the character is first mentioned? Torca 04:15, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

I don't know, but it seems like the discussion about turning those fields into prose (here and here) will have a lot to do with it. If it does become prose, we can just write "Sailor V is mentioned at the beginning of the series, and appears in person in Act 7." --Masamage 20:31, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Attacks

Until we get her attack section in to prose, i gave it a little bit of a rearange. I put her V and Venus henshins together and merged her Live action into the the main attacks. I made V's and Venus' attacks as their own sub sections of the attacks. Hopefully this saves some space. --Lego3400: The Sage of Time 16:59, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Looks good! --Masamage 22:14, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Sera Myu actress websites storage

I'm putting these here cos it looks a bit bad atm. They can be reinstated later easily then. Emilie Barlow and Ayumi Murata's websites are listed on their wiki pages, also the page given for Mizuki Watanabe is defunct. -Malkinann 08:19, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Japanese names of Sailor Senshi

For the Sailor Senshi, they should have their Japanese names of which Sailor Scout they are which the first word is "Seeraa", literally "Sailor", and then where they came from. "Sailor Venus" in Japanese is "Seeraa Viinasu". --PJ Pete

If its literally sailor venus that do we need to put it? ♥Eternal Pink-ready for love♥ 22:34, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
It's actually Sērā Bīnasu. It's possible that we could include the katakana...probably not a transliteration, though. Certainly it should not be the name of the article. --Masamage 22:45, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
This isnt' related to the discussion or the article, but something bothered me. According to katakana, there are kana for "v*"-type sounds, but whenever I see them, they're romanized as "b*". What's the deal? JuJube 22:41, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Wow, I had never seen that before. It's the "U" katakana with a ten-ten above it; wacky! They certainly pronounce it with a B sound in the series, but this manga next to me does in fact use the V katakana. And so does my Materials Collection. I am floored. --Masamage 22:45, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

There's probably a small e or i there as well. v can be b or ui. It's one of those in-between sounds for Japanese, much like r and l. MSJapan 19:39, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Other example: MAX's "Koi suru Velfarre Dance" (from MAXIMUM)is written that way. MSJapan 20:44, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
It's a small i if you're writing 'vi', yeah. --Masamage 20:46, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Music - storage

A number of songs featuring Minako's character have been released.[1]

From the original anime, sung by Rika Fukami:

  • "Route Venus"
  • "Setsunakute Ii" (I'll Stand Alone) from Sailor Moon R (this translation is incorrect, BTW. It should be "It's All Right If It Hurts" or something similar. -- MSJapan 19:45, 19 May 2007 (UTC))
  • "Anata no Yume wo Mita wa" (I Saw Your Dream)
  • "Ai no Megami no How To Love" (The Goddess of Love's "How to Love") from Sailor Stars

From the musicals, sung by various actresses:

  • "Traditional the Grace"
  • "Over the Moon"

In Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, as fitting with her role of an idol, Minako has many songs. These were sung by her actress, Ayaka Komatsu:[2]

  • "Romance"
  • "I'm Here"
  • "C'est la vie ~ Watashi no Naka no Koi Suru Bubun" (C'est la vie ~ The Loving Part Inside Me) (not entirely correct, either. "The Part Inside Me That Loves" is the literal translation, and the sense is different from what's here now. MSJapan 19:45, 19 May 2007 (UTC) }
  • "Katagoshi ni Kinsei" (Venus Over My Shoulder)
  • "Kiss!2 Bang!2"
  • "Sayonara ~ Sweet Days" (Goodbye ~ Sweet Days)
  • "Happy Time, Happy Life"
In the Musicals Over the Moon was sung by all the senshi, although she did sing most of it in Ai no Sancuary(Mars, Mercury, and Jupiter also sung a bit of it)Yayamaya 20:29, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Love Chain

Venus's Love chain is her Equivilent of Jupitars antenna and Mecury's Visor... So we should probably bring it up. It takes on 5 forms. Anime form, Love-Me Chain, Wink Chain, Love Chain, and Evil Love Chain. They are Venus Logo, Circle, Heart, Flower, and Galaxy shaped respectively. The Love-me chain and Wink chain may both be called Wink Chain... I can't remember... It DOES change shape though. --Lego3400: The Sage of Time 04:56, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Evil Love Chain? When does that happen? We'd need specific sources for all of those forms, and the only ones I know are the heart-shaped chainlinks and the one with the flowers on it. Where are you getting this information? --Masamage 05:24, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
The "Evil" Love chain is when she is under Galaxia's contorl. The the shape of the links are Circle with Manga and PGSM Love-Me Chain, Repeating Venus Logo in the Anime Heart in the Anime, A heart that looks like sailor Moon's hair when disguised as sailor moon (Posssibly later too) Heart with Wink Chain Sword (Maybe others), Flower with Manga Love and Beauty Shock, and Galaxy shaped with Love and Galactia Shock. These are all based off of the images of her attacks at the oracle.Lego3400: The Sage of Time 15:30, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Hmm, okay. I'll figure out a way to work that in. My only comment is that it's definitely a heart in the anime: [1] [2]. --Masamage 00:49, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
Oh, you corrected that already. Okay then. :P --Masamage 00:50, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

When she's useing in the image at the Oracle in the anime its soild. Most of the time's i've remmbered seeing it, it had a hallow center... I'm not sure whats going on with that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lego3400 (talkcontribs)

False Sailor Moon

Should we note her Disguise as Sailor Moon in her forms section? (I put it in her Ailases already... She has alot!)Lego3400: The Sage of Time 15:49, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

No, because it's not a form and it's not an alias. It's a set of clothes; she was actually in the form of Sailor Venus, which is proved by her use of Love-Me Chain. The only appropriate place to mention it would be in her profile or somewhere where it talks about her role as a stand-in or decoy for the princess. --Masamage 17:13, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
True.. You could see bits of the Venus outfit too.. The back bow for example was the wrong color. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lego3400 (talkcontribs)
Right-o. --Masamage 23:05, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Compact

According to wikimoon the "Compact" in the live action is a different item called the crescent moon Cutter... I always doubt data that i get there so... Lego3400: The Sage of Time 19:27, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

It's definitely the same thing in terms of function, but it might have a different name in the PGSM books. We'd have to know their source. --Masamage 21:37, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Yeah.. They both act as cutters, but the PGSM version just isn't a compact. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lego3400 (talkcontribs)

Prep for GA nom?

What needs to be done to get this article ready to be our next GA? Here's what I see:

  1. I plan on rewriting the profile section, like I've been doing. Specifically I hope to work in more citations and wikilinks, get more general information and a little less detail in some areas, and make the delineation between versions more graceful.
  2. The lead image needs source info and fair use rationale.
  3. I'd like to replace the Sailor V compilation with one made up of slightly cleaner source images. (Something like this.)
  4. Does anyone remember whether the dubbed anime's Mina had a significantly different personality from her former self, a la Raye?

What do you all think? --Masamage 03:40, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Regarding #4, Sailor Moon Uncensored consistently remarks that Cloverway made Mina a bitch. -- RattleMan 04:09, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
Sniggle. Okay. How 'bout DiC? I know SMU doesn't have the R series, but... --Masamage 04:21, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
*reads* Ooh, the valley-girl thing! That's a big deal, I forgot about it. --Masamage 04:49, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
"Mina" was way more bitchey then Minako and insulted "Sarena" way more then Minako insulted Usagi and she was more of a ditzy valary girl like all the others. ♥Fighting for charming Love♥ 09:45, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
We need to discuss how in her character design, she was the prototypical Usagi and originally the anime proposal was for a Sailor V anime.

Done. What do you think? Anything look weird or need fixing? --Masamage 18:55, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Great job rewriting it. The article looks great. If I do remember correctly, the dub version of Mina has a more matured tone than the original. And the much hated valley girl accent=\.--Hanaichi 12:14, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. ^^ Malkinann's input was great for polishing it off, too. I think we're probably ready for the nomination. Any last-minute concerns? --Masamage 19:37, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
Come to think, it usually takes at least a week before we get reviewed, so I'll go ahead and submit it now. 'Sbeen a while and I'm excited. :) Do mention any concerns meanwhile so we can tidy 'em up. --Masamage 20:07, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

We've still got one rogue fact-tag floating around... "In the live-action series, Minako secretly leads a double life as idol and heroine—famous as a singer, and equally well-known as Sailor V. She remains entirely separate from the other girls, but is aware of each of their civilian identities.[citation needed]". -Malkinann 21:45, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

That's definitely findable, it's just annoying because it's peppered through the episodes. I guess there are two we could use best: one, when Usagi and Makoto meet her in the hospital, and Minako thinks about how weird it is that this is Sailor Moon. The other one is when Minako and Rei are taking care of the dog at the church; I think Minako thinks approvingly that Sailor Mars has probably figured out her real identity, and then is annoyed when this proves wrong. I'm not sure about the second one, but the first is definite. --Masamage 22:02, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
Lol, we need to get onto PGSM episode summaries then - I don't know which episodes you mean. Oh, if we need to swap out a review, a deserving candidate IMO is But I'm a Cheerleader - I can't do it though, cos I've participated in the peer review and edited the article a little... oops. -Malkinann 22:17, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
Okay, it looks like the dog one (18) is wrong; they already know eachother's identities by then. But the hospital one (11) is great; not only does Minako know who Usagi is, but she and Artemis use "-tachi" when they talk about it, suggesting that they know the rest of the group too (ie Makoto). So I'll throw in the citation now. --Masamage 22:42, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

Error

Can someone change Aino Minako's birthday please. According to this site http://www.kurozuki.com/takeuchi/sailormoon/settei.html in the Sailor Moon Materials Collection, it was listed that Aino Minako's birthday is November 22 and not October 22. --—Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.110.211.91 (talkcontribs)

I'll look into it. Thanks for the heads-up. --Masamage 08:01, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Well, we have a problem. I checked the Materials Collection (of which that is a translation) in Japanese, and it says November 22 as well. However, the official Sailor Moon website (in Japanese) gives her birthday as October 22, and so does The Oracle, which leads me to suspect that the Volume 10 information says that, too (especially since that's where we have the info cited to). Obviously a mistake was made somewhere; I think we'd better go by what the official website says, since it's extremely recent. I'll make a note that the Materials Collection lists a different date, though. Thanks for the catch! --Masamage 08:12, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Yeah there's a problem with the Oracle site you provided. According to their Manga translation as well it shows that her birthday was November 22 but when you go to their Manga Information (not the Anime information) about Sailor Venus they have it listed as October 22 lol. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.110.211.91 (talkcontribs)

Well, that's an accurate translation of the Materials Collection. If you check the Japanese version (which I own, and she has scans), it really does say "11 getsu 22 nichi". So she's just accurately reporting what it says, even though it's inconsistent with the other official sources. In the character section, however, she reports the correct information because it's...correct. :) So I think she's fine on all counts. --Masamage 07:06, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Proposed move to Sailor Venus

Please be aware of the discussion at WP:SM about moving this article to the title Sailor Venus. --Masamage 18:56, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Consensus seems to have been reached, so here goes! I'll move it, then rewrite the lead, then clean redirects and such. --Masamage 01:59, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Spoiler tag

I have removed the spoiler tag again after looking at the justification given. My issues are twofold. First, I question the declaration that 2004 is "recent." Second, and more significantly, even if the section in question is not marked as a plot section, there are paragraphs of plot summary before the spoiler, which ought to be a good clue to any reader that the section is discusssing the plot and that they might want to bail out if they're invested in remaining unspoiled. As such, I think the warning implied by the plot section is more than adequately present. Phil Sandifer 20:27, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Why is this such a big deal? The WikiProject overseeing the article seems to have consensus that it's a good idea, but you're like the fourth uninvolved person to wander along and remove it. What does it hurt? --Masamage 20:43, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
The WikiProject is comprised of fans of the material, and may not be entirely unbiased in this matter. Outside viewpoints are, in these matters, helpful. Phil Sandifer 20:55, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
I agree entirely; what I don't understand is why people are so intense about removing all spoiler warnings that can possibly be removed. --Masamage 22:45, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
I guess the general issue would need to be discussed somewhere else. I still think this is a good use of the template. --Masamage 23:37, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

The live-action series has not aired outside of Japan, nor is it likely to, which is one of the criteria of WP:SPOILER. -Malkinann 23:45, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

If it's unlikely to then the "protect the English readers from things yet to air" aspect of WP:SPOILER doesn't really apply anymore. Phil Sandifer 00:05, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
That's gotta be open to debate. As such, I'd like to bring it up with WP:ANIME and see what a larger selection of people thinks. I'll happily abide by whatever they come up with; I'd just like to see it discussed more by people with more experience than I have. Meanwhile, I'm going to revert it to the version with the spoiler tags so that it's clear what we're discussing; again, if it gets removed as a result, so be it. --Masamage 02:49, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
It may be - I'll admit that this is a weird case (though I think the fact that the series has been over for three years is significant). But I do tend to think that the "has not aired in all major markets" clause doesn't really make sense in the case of things that are unlikely to air in a given market. Or, to put it another way, I'm generally unconvinced of the usefulness of this spoiler warning - it's buried deep in a paragraph of plot summary of something that's unlikely to have a future US airing. What group of people are served by this warning? Phil Sandifer 20:41, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
That seems to be the general feeling at WT:ANIME, too. I guess it makes sense, as summed up neatly in your last sentence, there. If you're never going to see it, any information is sort of a spoiler. Anyway, the section is clearly headed as being about the live-action series, so even though it's not storyline-centered, someone who's avoiding information about PGSM can easily do so without needing the warning. I guess I'll go ahead and revert back now. --Masamage 20:58, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

    a Pass/Fail:

Very close to passing. Just a few things I'd like to see cleaned up:

  1. I'd rather see a link to Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon in the lead section, rather than a link to live-action.
  2. The "In the anime and manga" section needs to flow better somehow. The article jumps from dreams and desires straight into favorite colors and blood type all in the same paragraph. Maybe the section needs to be split somehow?
  3. [3] This image link is just hanging out in the middle of the article; I just think it's misplaced. Either make it a full-blown image or get rid of it.

Don't give up guys, you're almost there. shoy 20:46, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

How does it look now? --Masamage 21:00, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Good, but I can't advance it until 2 days from now, per the template. Keep working on it, if you see any other fixes that need to be made. shoy 22:23, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure you can advance it any time you want; you just can't tell us we're out of time and fail us an hour after leaving your comments. 48 hours is a minimum time to be sure people see your comments. --Masamage 22:27, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Promoted. Good job guys. shoy 18:22, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
Woohoo! Thank you! :D --Masamage 19:15, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

The names Sailor V and Mina in CN:SV

During the Sailor V manga, She introduces her self as "Codename: Sailor V!" "The soilder of Justice!" "Sailor Venus!" (Each set of "" represents a normally seperate speeach bubbble, and This is not verbatim and the soilder of justice part may not be 100% correct). Artimis also Calls her Venus when transformed and shorterns her name to "Mina". Everyone else just calls her Sailor V or V-chan. Danburitie also calls her Venus (though he has diffrent reasons, he was calling her what he knew her as in the Silver Millenum, also she changes into the Sailor Venus form during her fight with him" So is the form still Sailor Venus and its just known to the public as Sailor V or is it something altother diffrent. I'm pulling this from the Scanlations done by Grand Theft Fansubs and ANViL though. She introduces herself this way in pretty much all of the first and second book.--Lego3400: The Sage of Time (talk) 16:56, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Well, don't get too caught up in the idea of different 'forms'. They're really all just names and sets of clothes for the same person. She is Minako and Sailor Venus and Sailor V and Princess Venus, no matter what she's wearing. You could still call her any of those things and be correct. It's just that one name is more strongly attached to one outfit. In the original manga, the girls called each other by their civilian names when transformed, too. --Masamage 17:29, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
