Promotional content, copied from his website. edit

I blanked the content last week, when I noticed that

  • the article has no secondary sources
  • the information provided is overly promotional
  • the text is nearly verbatim from http://sabirmirza.net/, Mirza's promotional website.

I looked via my library's electronic search tools for any sort of secondary sources; all I could find was a mention of one performance in (I think) a newspaper event calendar. Now, I'm not an expert in sourcing musicians, but this seemed to clinch the case that this article doesn't belong.

I just got back to the article today, and I noticed that Racklever had reverted the blanking -- fair enough that. I disagree with the reasoning in the edit summary, saying "this page was created in 2007." That's irrelevant to me. If the content is promotional cut & paste of a marginally or non notable performer, then the article shouldn't exist.

I'm going to go through the motions to prod the article, 'cause I haven't done that yet. If someone disagrees with the prod, please say so, and I'll take it to AfD. [Or, better yet, if someone can point me to or add secondary sources, awesome.] Moishe Rosenbaum (talk) 20:25, 19 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
