Talk:STS-144

Latest comment: 14 years ago by GW Simulations in topic Real ?

STS-144 was a proposed mission of the United States' Space Shuttle program that was to send the Space Shuttle Columbia to retrieve the Hubble Space Telescope from orbit and bring it back to Earth.

After the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster, this mission, along with others, was cancelled, and Hubble is not likely going to be recovered with a shuttle, which means NASA will have to come up with another way to safely bring it back down to Earth.

Hi, can someone put an info box like the other shuttle missions pages have? Thanks!

Real ?

Do we have any document showing that this mission really was considered ? Hektor 22:28, 4 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I did a search, the only evidence I could find was discussion in forums. Could be real, but I think it is just speculation. There was a page at NASA that reffered to a mission designated STS-144 being cancelled, but this gave no further details. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk
Well I am very tempted to make an Afd or convert into a redirect ...Hektor (talk) 21:10, 14 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
I've prodded it. --GW 19:13, 26 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
No need to prod, just redirect it to Cancelled Space Shuttle missions -MBK004 19:29, 26 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
