Should we put Lt. Tyler on the article as a one time member of SG-1? -- Ed Telerionus 00:20, 21 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Referring to that alien in "The Fifth Man"? Umm, no, since he wasn't a member... -b 06:58, 7 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Rewrote, expanded. Someone should write that "Brief history" part, it's always been my weak point. -b 03:04, 8 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

I think that the persona the alien created for SG-1 to see WAS a member of the team. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.202.66.125 (talk) 23:03, 20 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

New pic edit

Ok, that is an innacurate representation of the SG-1 patch, that is a commerical patch. Can this pic be used instead? http://www.stargateprops.com/shopping/images/sg-patch2.jpg

If not, can I use a screenshot from an episode of someone wearing the patch? Faris b 02:54, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

If you could find one, it would definitely look a lot better. I orginally got that off the SG-1 Wiki site. Never really liked it but I thought it would be rad for the article. -b 19:04, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ok, I found a screenshot from an episode and uploaded it. Is all the liscensing info correct?

Faris b 21:40, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

No. The orginal one is wrong. It's fictional. The television-screenshot template is more appropriate. Please also note:
To the uploader: please add a detailed fair use rationale for each use, as described on Wikipedia:Image description page, as well as the source of the work and copyright information.
Much better then the old one! -b 23:53, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Notable Accomplishments edit

I removed several entries from the "Notable Accomplishments" section because, though SG-1 was involved, they weren't actually their accomplishments.

Anubis was "defeated" (If the term could even be applied, since he still technically exists) by Oma, prior to her intervention he was about to destroy all life in the galaxy despite the best efforts of SG-1.

The Replicators in the Milky Way were defeated by the cooperation of Carter, Selmak, and Ba'al, who were all vital to the modification and use of the Dakara superweapon. It wasn't SG-1 alone and can not be listed as their personal victory.

The Jaffa Resistance was aided by all of the SGC, not just SG-1.

The sealing of the Ori Supergate was also assisted by McKay from Atlantis and the personnell of the Odyssey, again not their singular accomplishment.

I hope that covers everything. JBK405 03:27, 16 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

episode not seen edit

we seen future worlds,we seen renaissance worlds,we seen alien worlds, but we have yet to see the sg-team go to a jurassic planet. to see the team in a sitution where technology will not help where tilk's staff weapon would do nothing but give a dinosaur a hot foot. where sg-1's weapons bounce off hard scales. the gate is trampled after the teem steps through and must stay alive tell they can be picked up by ship.I THINK it would be fun and entertaining an episode we havent seen.

sincerely, Dana Rowe

Death of Ra edit

I remove the accomplishment of defeating Ra. SG-1 did not defeat Ra, it was Col. O'Neill, his team, and Daniel Jackson who defeated Ra on Abydos during the first mission through the gate (in the movie). This was not SG-1. The SG teams were not commisioned till after Apophis' attack in the gate room of Cheyenne Mountain (before the creation of the SGC).Paulchwd

Beyond Season 10 edit

While the movies aren't out yet, there is still a tiny glimpse of state of SG-1 after season 10 - we know from Atlantis that Carter left them, while Tealc (and at least one more member, since he says "we") stay in some way with SGC. Also, it's noticable that Tealc's temples still have grey hair, hence the timeline changed in "unending" still wasn't fixed (as I assume it will be in "continuum")

Do you think this information deserves to be here ? Maybe on Tealc's page ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.199.94.2 (talk) 12:25, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merger with List of Stargate SG-1 characters edit

This article is just a plot retelling of what SG-1 achieved (WP:NOT#PLOT). The structure of SG-1 (i.e. its members) are already summarized in List of Stargate SG-1 characters. I have already merged what I believe is the good content of SG-1, there, but I'll leave this official merge&redirect proposal up for a week just in case some unexpected opposition comes up. (A similar procedure happened with e.g. the Oceanic Six, which after an AfD now redirects to Characters of Lost.) – sgeureka tc 05:56, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Merged. – sgeureka tc 14:58, 15 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
