Talk:Sébastien Erard

I moved the article, because the first name of Erard is Sébastien and not Sebastien. See the internet and the Dutch Wikipedia. Effeietsanders 07:15, 4 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Have fleshed out the content of this article, as the information included was only very basic. Xyster 16:27, 19 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Piano action

edit

Patented in 1821, Erard's piano "double escapement" action is essentially the same as in modern pianos. This allows individual notes to be rapidly repeated.

I changed this to bring attention to the repetition lever because these actions don't look the same, the wippen is used for a check and to lower the damper. Mireut 20:28, 31 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
