Non-WOSM Rovers

199.123.79.97 has just added stuff about non WOSM Rovers who keep to B.P.s view of no upper age limit. Fine, but could those sets of initials be spelt out so we know what they are and if possible wikified if there is material on Wikipedia about them? I put back stuff about the upper age in the UK as this did not alter until the Chief Scouts Advance party recommendations in 1968, well after B.P.s death. Bduke 23:50, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

I just corrected WIFS to WFIS and that link works. What is RESA? What is RSA? The link to the latter is incorrect? --Bduke 03:12, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
OK. Found RESA. I think RSA should be PSA - they have Rovers. I have put the full names in for the links. --Bduke 03:22, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

Rover Scout Crew

I have just removed the link [[ ]] from "Rover Scout Crew" - it did not point anywhere, and I have explained more about a Crew. I have done this because I do not think that we need to have a separate article called "Rover Scout Crew". Anything needed can go into this article. --Bduke 05:56, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

I didn't realise (somehow) that Crew was already defined in the article, thanks! --Naha|(talk) 06:08, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
It was'nt. I added the stuff after the words "Rover Scout Crew" in the first para. --Bduke 06:24, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

International Gathering

Added the CES annual International Rover moot and will keep it updated --RoverOne (talk) 17:12, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

United States Rovers

The Kentucky Secretary of State has a business organization search; United States Rovers were incorporated on Jul 31, 2008; they show as active, but bad status. Need to check later to see if they maintained their incorporation. ---— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 14:04, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Principles

Added CES to section --RoverOne (talk) 08:10, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

Rover Scouting in Japan

What is significant about Rover Scouting in Japan? --Egel Reaction? 14:11, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

Too much BSA-perspective?

I have a problem with this page. Rover Scouts is a world-wide program, yet this article is written from a BSA-perspective. This article should be about the general world use of Rover Scouts, and the USA use of Rovers be in either a subsection of this article or in a separate article clairly marked as such. 144.189.40.222 16:54, 5 January 2006 (UTC)emb021

I completely agree. It also says far too little about Rover Scouting in the UK - the battle to restrict the upper age down to 25 and finally the battle to get rid of Rover Scouting in the UK. It no longer exists there but does in many Commonwealth countries. I'm too out of touch to fix anything. Bduke 20:55, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
Seconded, IMHO we should remove all the specifics about how certains countries operate their Crews from here (let them be seperate articles of on their own Associations pages). This article should focus on the history, purpose, and the general principles of Rovers that apply globally. Only associations explicitly described should be those of historical significance. Suggest re-naming to "Rovers (Scouting)"

Renaming articled would be consistent with other age section articles such as "Beavers (Scouting)". Not all Rover programs are called Rover Scouts. Rovers is the generic name common to all programs. Rovers rather than Rover would focus the article on the program rather than participant Rover. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1.129.96.88 (talk) 08:23, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
