Abstract：According to the present and development of ground bolting theory , It will analyze intrinsic nature of a boom-type roadheader which exist birth defect and cannot driving efficiently at the present stage in the world extensive use. The intrinsic problem is from the roadheader which were designed accord early timbering support state but not suitable for rockbolt technology. Point out to improve machine function and energy capacity can raise efficiency but will not settle come true intrinsic problems of full-driving. Follows, analyzed why operational working method always can not build entry rapidly with working correct train of thought. At last, derived a Shield Union Driving Machine (SUDM) which will fundamentally resolve the problem of building the coalmine gateway.
