civil registry

edit

The resident registration is strictly separate in Germany from civil status registry. The references in the target article point to "birth, death and marriage certificates" and in fact the interlink in civil registry goes to de:Standesamt which records the civil status but not the residency. The "is a" does not seem to the usual thing to do - may be it is correct but that may need a better separation of an overarching term "civil registry" and special term for the "civil status registry"? European Union

edit

This section is very confused:

  • a regulation for the European-wide census was agreedwhat European-wide census, and when was it agreed?
  • a census [...] that allows for a [...] census – (?)
  • what is a "census poll"?
  • Germany, Austria and Switzerland intend to use a register-based census model for the EU Census – Switzerland is not part of the EU

That should better be discussed in the article 2011 European Union census. That specific event can be used a search value to find the corresponding EC regulations and how they were harmonized across the EEA. Using polls to correct register-based estimations for valid statistical results might be different topic, just look for "micro census". Guidod (talk) 05:47, 15 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Ireland missing

edit

All EU / EEA Member countries seem to be covered, except Ireland. --RScheiber (talk) 02:59, 12 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
