geography of usage edit

Should https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invitation_for_bid , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_for_bids , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Request_for_quotation , and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Request_for_proposal be merged, with a section in which the differences between them are explained? RFQ vs RfQ edit
This article uses “RfQ” in the first section. I had been reading and writing requests for quotation since the 1960s and had always seen “RFQ”. I had not seen it abbreviated “RfQ” until today. I would prefer “RFQ” in this article (but this is of minor concern and usage certainly could have changed since my retirement). Same goes for “RfP”. Jim (talk) 18:27, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
