Prod removal edit

The prod was removed on the basis that "this is a regional mall with more than 500,000 square feet of retail space". I was unaware that that was our guideline -- most such malls of under 1 million square feet, I have been told, have the usual outcome of it being agreed that they do not warrant a stand-alone article. Where might I find the above-indicated approach supported? Also, was the removal based on independent RS support for that statement? Thanks.--Epeefleche (talk) 23:46, 2 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

My experience with mall articles is that regional malls over half a million square feet are generally notable. I've added a selection of reliable sources to this article (and will move on the other article on which you left a similar note next). - Dravecky (talk) 03:43, 3 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
May I invite to our discussion the sysop who told me the same thing that you just told me (not distinguishing "regional" mall from "non-regional" ... nor am I aware of such a clear-cut designation) ... except that (if I recall correctly), he did not include the world "half" (prior to "a million")?--Epeefleche (talk) 03:46, 3 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
