Southern Africa
editThe introduction refers to the company's "interests in southern Africa", but no reference is made to these elsewhere in the text. I don't doubt that such interests existed, but can anyone expand on the statement or provide a reference? Ghmyrtle (talk) 11:40, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
A bit indirect, but there are some references here:
- in 1962, the UK based United Transport Company was "incorporated in South Africa" - subsequently became Unitrans
- in 1976, the company sold the African Bus Service to PUTCO
There's an article to be written about the history of United Transport - both in Africa and elsewhere (e.g. in shipping).Mhockey (talk) 18:33, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
