Suggestions for Improvement
editThis article could be improved by talking about the general way in which dreams occur and why that affects the types of dreams people have, such as recurring dreams. Hrt4Music 01:16, 23 June 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Heart4music (talk • contribs)
- Also note that a bullet list of facts is not a good style for an encyclopedic article. See this essay on handling trivia for help. --MTHarden (talk) 14:19, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
This article has been expanded by a group from my History and Systems of Psychology class at North Dakota State University, so is no longer a stub. We did this project as part of the APS Wikipedia Initiative. James Council (talk) 21:52, 2 May 2013 (UTC)
History section needs a lot of work (Resolved)
editThis section is written in simple sentences and contains many instances of improper grammar. It contains no citations except those telling us that cave paintings and hieroglyphics are a form of language. Many of the statements are of little importance/common knowledge (Egyptians expressed dreams or history using hieroglyphics to remember and keep records of the past) or are of dubious accuracy (The medieval people did not talk to other people about their dreams). I am writing this on the talk page instead of deleting the whole section in case anyone wants to try cleaning it up. Austinenator (talk) 22:33, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
- OK, I have made the deletion. I appreciate all of the efforts, but there's only so much you can do to make a paragraph not seem like it was written by a third grader. Adding a hundred [citation needed]s doesn't really do much, either. My condolences to whoever made these contributions; try again later, better luck next time.
