Some years ago this article was better than today - it was possible to read about transformation from physical to spiritual (light) body. Now, there is a strange links to "spontaneous combustion" under "see also"! rainbow body may be considered as dessication in such a way as to take on the appearance of "biltong" which through the lack of fat on the body, widely considered to be poisonous impure by doctor van hagen et al. the self preservation so to speak echoes through the doctrines and whitnessed with Luang Pho Daeng to some degree. the crystalization of meat under common drying conditions is known to have this effect. as for the apparent static discharge from the presumably life long silk wearers fingers, one can only assume a mastery in contemplation at the least. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 113.88.47.7 (talk) 19:47, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

As of now, the article is unreadable in key places: Rigpa has three wisdoms, which arekadag, lhun grub and thugs rje. Kadag deals with tregchöd.[2] Thelhun grub aspect has to do with esoteric practices, such as (but not limited to) Thödgal, that self-liberate the human body into aSambhogakāya...

Please abstain from these non-English terms here. I cant correct it, being a non expert. Zezen (talk) 02:20, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

WikiProjects

Well, since there is no place for anecdotal discussions I will add something meaningful on the fact this is considered part of the Wiki projects "China". This is information from the Tibetan Book of the Dead which is material written in the independent nation of Tibet. It may be part of China now but the culture is distinct from China and I think it does not belong in that grouping. Better to be in a grouping for Tibet or for Buddhism. I do not think that is an opinion, its historical fact. The monks in Tibet are installed by the Chinese government after the brutal take over and exile of the Dalai Llama. I think placing this under the wiki China project is a clear mistake in delineation and culturally insensitive. Three forms

There are actually three forms of rainbow body: (1) rainbow body, occurs at time of death and leaves behind hair and nails; (2) body of light (no "death" as we know it, the practitioner simply dissolves into light and may manifest at will; (3) great transference rainbow body (dissolves into light and manifests multiple emanations). Well golly gosh geebers editors ... looks like The Dead Tibetan Book glossary corroborates the originally presented source on page 502 of the auspiciously printed 2005 edition. That makes two sources for the 2 paths and, by the buddy bodies non-dual union holy spirit. There's like a way nice people can push key board buttons to return the sourced sentiments.
