Coastguard SAR contract
edit2Excel Aviation were awarded a fixed wing coastguard SAR contract: In 2019, the UK’s Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) launched a tender to supply a fixed-wing capability to support counter pollution and search and rescue missions, as well as wider requirements across Government. The contract was won by UK commercial company 2Excel which agreed to supply two customised platforms based on the twin-engine Beechcraft King Air 200. The new aircraft have proved a great success and AEROSPACE visited 2Excel’s base next to Doncaster-Sheffield airport to learn more about their capabilities. Although strangely much photographed G-HMGA does not appear to be flying. RVL seem to be removing some Coastguard markings from their aircraft. Are RVL still doing MCA SAR work? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.176.59.135 (talk) 21:02, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
