Edits Made Due To Major Errors

It was necessary to make major revisions to this article due to major errors largely concerning the origins of the design. The R.36 was most definitely NOT a development of the R.33 class, rather it was a development of the Zeppelin U Type. The designation R.36 is the actual nomenclature of the airship. See Mowthorp, "Battlebags," pgs 139-141 and 157. R.36 was a pathetic attempt to turn a shoddy wartime design into a practical commercial airship. The British never did design a practical commercial airship. The R.100 came as close as the British ever got. The R.36 suffered a serious in-flight structural failure. Given the absurdly deficient British understanding of the forces operating upon airships it is probably luck alone which prevented a disaster. See R38.
