QPL a private corporation? edit
Multiple job listings at QPL state: "Queens Public Library is a private, non-profit corporation with 1,700 employees serving 66 locations." Here for example. Does anyone have a source stating that it is actually public? Without a source to the contrary, should the "type" in the info box be changed to "private"? --Blebaford (talk) 13:49, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Controversy? edit
This entry could cover some of the controversies over the library. The president, Thomas Galante, was fired, which raised questions about whether he should be making $390,000 plus expenses, and why the library should be run as a private institution. This was covered extensively in the New York Daily News http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/queens/queens-library-president-390g-shedding-130-jobs-article-1.1592194 Library Journal, and other WP:RSs. I don't know the answers, but Wikipedia might be a good place to offer some. --Nbauman (talk) 17:18, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
