I question the infobox

edit

Why have a Canadian specific info box on this article? There are other countries this could equally apply to - for instance, Australia. - Tbsdy (formerly Ta bu shi da yu) talk 13:29, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand your question. Are you saying the Canadian monarchy infobox is inappropriate, while an Australian one would be acceptable? --Ħ MIESIANIACAL 13:40, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
No, I'm merely saying that it skews the article more towards Canada, when it shouldn't be such a thing at all. There is no need for the infobox. - Tbsdy (formerly Ta bu shi da yu) talk 12:11, 20 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
It is a navbox, not infobox, and, like all navboxes, it is not needed, but is better there than not. If you think it gives the article a Canadian "skew", then how about taking it upon yourself to add some other navboxes? --Ħ MIESIANIACAL 15:29, 20 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
"Taking it upon myself" seems a might aggressive. I'm merely pointing to an example of systemic bias. - Tbsdy (formerly Ta bu shi da yu) talk 13:18, 27 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
It's hardly aggressive! What's so terrible about suggesting you fix what you complain about? --Ħ MIESIANIACAL 05:30, 28 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Like I say - I don't find the navbox appropriate. What would be wrong with replacing it with one that is not specific to a particular country? Or are you suggesting I need to make a navbox for every Commonwealth country? - Tbsdy (formerly Ta bu shi da yu) talk 10:34, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Gender used in the article title

edit

Since this article is now about the term as used in a number of countries, and not just about the UK, it should be located at King-in-Council rather than Queen-in-Council, since the majority of countries (Norway, Sweden) using the term have a king, and since the vast majority of monarchs in states where the term is used, regardless of country, have been kings, with Queen-in-Council being more a UK-specific exception to the rule internationally and historically. If desirable, a more detailed main article about the UK Queen-in-Council could be created in addition to this article. --Bjerrebæk (talk) 08:41, 27 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
