Problem with refs

edit

I'm putting the article On Hold at this point, as there are problems with the in-line citations, but I will carry on reading (and if necessary editing) the article.

They are:

  • The Notes section contains references to Figis, with page numbers; but Figis does not appear in the Bibliography.Pyrotec (talk) 16:33, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • The Notes, for instance, invoke references to multiple books by David Brown.
  • Ref 3 (Brown, Tchaikovsky: Man and Music, 49.) does not match any of the listed books.
  • Ref 21 (Brown, David, "Balakirev, Tchaikovsky and Nationalism," 132.) does not match any of the listed books.
  • Ref 32 (Quoted in Brown, Tchaikovsky: Man and Music, 46.) does not match any of the listed books.
  • In some cases it is obvious, e.g. Brown, Tchaikovsky: The Early Years, 128; Holden, 63.
  • This could be solved if the following format was used - Ref 3 (Brown, 1999, 49.) Valid reference dates are 1978, 1983, 1991, 1995, 2002. See Wikipedia:Citing sources

The bibliography has been updated to include these sources. My apologies for their not being there earlier. Jonyungk (talk) 19:27, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
