Talk:Puppet monarch

Latest comment: 3 years ago by Dogpilot-Ave in topic Was Majorian really a puppet Emperor

It is not a good idea to redirect this to puppet state. A careful person, when reading the contents of both, will realize that puppet state means one under rule of another, foreign, state, whereas puppet monarch (puppet king, puppet ruler) is a person under practical rule of his/her countryman. If the contents of puppet state are not changed to cover this phenomenon (a change I deem impossible, remembering the definitions), this cannot redirect there. Of coursem, there may exist another article or concept that is sufficiently synonymous with puppet monarch, but puppet state is NOT such. Thus, reverted the redirect. Was Majorian really a puppet Emperor edit

Let's consider this he was killed by Majorian and his rise to power was a joined conspiracy by them both... Majorian also Ruled in his own right being the last Emperor to truly rule and not be a puppet of a Barbarian General or the Eastern Court. Dogpilot-Ave (talk) 21:15, 29 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
