Yeah, the article is all well and nice, but it doesn't answer the most pressing question on the minds of young Wikipedians today—namely, can you eat them? —Psychonaut 20:42, 8 Feb 2004 (UTC)
- To quote myself:
- "An otherwise little-known species, prowfish are important to subsistence fisheries in remote regions."
- So, if they were inedible, I doubt people would fish for them. :) Hadal 22:47, 8 Feb 2004 (UTC)
- Yeah, but what do they taste like? —Psychonaut 22:50, 8 Feb 2004 (UTC)
- Having never had the pleasure, I fear I'm unqualified to answer. Perhaps you should ask an Aleut. I could speculate and say they're fatty fish; they'd be flavourful if nothing else. In any case, I doubt you'll see prowfish competing with arctic char on your local seafood restaurant's menu any time soon. Hadal 00:04, 9 Feb 2004 (UTC)
