   * The opening scene where they cut Butters is a parody of The Apprentice.

No. The apprentice aired 2 years after this episode. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.101.186.2 (talk) 00:41, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

The plot synp. is very badly written ... professor chaos is a discordian

In the beginning of this part when the kids fire Butters, the suits they wear slightly resemble that of the Beatles used to wear. Does this part has a reference to the firing of Bete Best from the drummer's position? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mhunya (talkcontribs) 19:08, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • The music during the "Friends" segment is similar to the theme to the TV show Friends
  • The style in which they quickly eliminate their friend is reminiscent of ElimiDate.
  • Butter’s evil alter-ego is similar to the Marvel comics character Doctor Doom and dons a helmet akin to X-men super villain Magneto. His behaviour in class is reminiscent of Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes "Stupendous Man" alter ego.
  • The competition used to find a fourth friend and the use of roses to show who stays is a parody of The Bachelor.
  • The song Towelie attempts to play on guitar in the talent show is "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin. However, Towelie is already high and cannot remember how to play the opening riff.
